
AP Music Theory
Course Description
AP Music Theory is a fast paced, advanced level course for experienced musicians. Students will be trained in collegiate concepts of written theory, melodic and harmonic dictation. Students are expected to perform sight-singing examples, recognize aural stimuli through ear training exercises, and compose music following traditional Western music guidelines. The course is desgined to prepare students for the AP Music Theory Exam in May.
The Summer Assignment will be due on the first day of class as an exam grade (Practical Theory Complete by Sandy Feldstein), availible at Roberson's Music.
