District 15 Band Information
This year's auditions are on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Colonial Forge HS. If you make an honor band, you are required to participate and be at all rehearsals.
2009 District 15 High School Band will on Februrary 6th & 7th at Massaponax.
District Band is a select group of students chosen from Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, and surrounding counties. All band students may audition (Courtland Symphonic Band members are required to), and the top few students from every section will either be placed in the Symphonic Band or Concert Band. Auditions consist of all major scales (see table below), the chromatic scale for the full range of the instrument, and a sight-reading selection.
During the event, top-notch conductors rehearse students in less than 24 hours to put on a phenomenal concert on Saturday afternoon.
