Senior Regional Orchestra Information

Senior Regional Orchestra is the orchestral equivalent of District Band, although an orchestra region is made up of four band districts combined into one. All band students from any of these four districts are eligible to audition to be a part of the full symphony orchestra wind and percussion section.

All students who make Senior Regional Orchestra automatically qualify for an All-State audition.

Students interested in auditioning for Senior Regional Orchestra (piccolo, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion) need to prepare an etude (the same material as the 2007 All-Virginia prepared pieces). The rest of the audition will mirror District auditions. Auditions will take place the evening of Wednesday, Sept 26th at Brentsville High School.

The actual event is held on the first Friday and Saturday of November.
